BREAKING IN" TO THE GOSPEL PRESENTATION

 Help:

     a. Honesty and transparency (2 Corinthians 4:7-10)

     b. Asking and answering questions (2 Timothy 2:24-26)

     c. Using a personal testimony (John 9:25)

       1. Initial Questions (to guide the conversation to the Gospel)

         a. answer direct questions of the inquirer

         b. "May I ask you a question?"

         c. "_________, we've been friends for a while now, but there is something very important in my life that I've never had a chance to explain to you. Could I take a little while to talk with you about my relationship with Jesus Christ?" (then give your personal testimony, followed by an analytical questions).

         d. "_________, in all of our time together, I've been afraid to tell you about the most important aspect of my life. Could I tell you about it?"

         e. "I know I'm going to heaven, and __________, because I love  you, I would like for you to go to heaven with me. Could I share with  you what the Bible says about how to get to heaven?" (or,  substitute "I know I have purpose in life," or, "I know Jesus Christ personally.")

       2. Personal Testimony

         a. Three parts

           1. What my life was like before I was saved - get the point across without glorifying past sin - include what you thought as well as what you may or many not have done.

           2. How I was saved - give circumstances and biblical truths you understood at that time.

           3. What my life is like since I have been saved - Try to answer the questions "What difference has Jesus Christ made in my Life?" and "Is it worth it to be a Christian and why?"

       3. Analytical Questions

         a. "Are you interested in spiritual things?"

         b. "Where are you in your spiritual pilgrimage? Where would you like to be?"

         c. "If you were to die today, would you go to heaven?"

         d. "If you were to die today and find yourself standing before  God, and if God would ask you, '__________, why should I let you into My heaven?' what would you say?"

         e. "In your opinion, who is Jesus Christ?"
